Psychedelics and Aesthetics Reading Group Meeting on Wednesday April 16
The next meeting of Psychedelics and Aesthetics, the reading group I lead at Harvard Divinity School’s Center for the Study of World Religions (CSWR), will meet on Wednesday, 4/16 3-5 pm EST at the CSWR conference room to discuss trance and dance in rave culture, along with associated cultural expressions and drug experiences.
Presenting Research for Harvard Psychedelics Club Psychedelic Week
I’ll be presenting my current research on Monday, March 31, 6 pm - 7:30 pm, as well as a panel on Friday, April 4th, 6pm at Emerson Hall as part of the Harvard Psychedelics Club’s Psychedelic Week. The week’s programming includes presentations from scholars, artists, and professionals working at the intersections psychedelics and cognition, spirituality, health, and art.

New Working Group Launch: “The Art of Dying” at the Program for the Evolution of Spirituality
As part of the 2024–2025 offerings from the Program for the Evolution of Spirituality, I’ll be facilitating a new working group titled The Art of Dying: Artistic and Cultural Hermeneutics of Mortality and Transformation.
Meeting the first Monday of each month at 7:30 PM ET, this group invites participants to explore the aesthetic, spiritual, and political dimensions of death and dying.
New Reading Group Launch: “Psychedelics and Aesthetics” at CSWR
This academic year, I’ll be leading a bi-weekly reading group at the Center for the Study of World Religions, exploring the complex relationship between psychedelic experiences, aesthetics, and ethics.
Titled Psychedelics and Aesthetics, the group will meet every other Wednesday from 3–5 PM, beginning September 11, 2024, in the CSWR Conference Room.
